The Pedal Power challenge is a fun but educational game that helps to put energy usage in perspective. The bicycle is linked up to a circuit containing 4 light bulbs - as each switch is thrown down it becomes harder to pedal as more electricity is needed. Once all the bulbs are lit, a peak wattage reading is taken and mapped up on to an energy score board against the different types of appliances that could be powered.

This is a favourite for school workshops & corporate/business sustainability days in the office - definitely one for the competitive!
